A look in 2014

2014 started out with the exciting news that my bestie was expecting a baby! I was over the moon to hear this news.

Nevaeh turned 9 in April and we celebrated with an under the sea painting party with all of her school friends and our family. We also left for our cruise on April 20, 2014 to celebrate my Mom's 50th birthday.

Now that vacation is over, we came back to celebrate a family friend (that I used to babysit) graduate high school. We also started demolition of our front and back yard.  We removed the bushes from the front yard, framed around the tree, and filled in the front bed with rock, and added sod where the bushes were.

In the back yard we moved all the rock that bordered where grass should of been, rototilled the entire area, and added new metal boarder, and filled in with sod. It was a lot of work but the outcome was beautiful.

Despite all the yard work, we were still able to celebrate with my best friend and all her family and friends what the sex of her baby was going to be. All along I thought that she would have a little girl, she thought it was a boy at the beginning of her pregnancy. Johnny, her mom and I hosted a "Gender Reveal Party" for the mom and dad to be.

IT"S A GIRL!!

Another excting activity was joining my great grandparents celebration of their 70th wedding anniversary.

Summer was upon us and we were nothing short of busy. Nevaeh enjoyed lots of swimming and trips to the Zoo with her aunt, one of our good friends was going to be a dad so we through him a "Dad to be" party since him and the mother were not together anymore, he also welcomed his baby girl at the end of June. July Johnny and I took our first trip to Cheyenne Frontier days to see Tim McGraw in concert.

In August Nevaeh started 4th grade, we went back to the Fertility clininc so I could do some more testing and exams, and were told even more bad news. I was told that I had a pollup in my ovaries that would limit the chances of getting IVF done, and that I would have to have surgery to get it removed. This was just another expense that we were not prepared for. We watched another one of our good friends Mike and Megan get married at Red Rocks.
