Serenity is here

Miss Serenity's due date was 10/18/14, which was also Tara's birthday. I got a call from Tara at 5:00am on Monday October 20 saying that she was at the hospital because her water broke at home, but nothing was happening yet. I got up and went into work so I could get some stuff done and told Tara to call me if anything changed and I would head right over. She called me again at about 9:30am, I went straight to the hospital in hopes that Serenity would be here soon. I got there and well you know we played the waiting game. She got up and walked, tried to nap, laughed, watched TV and nothing. I ended up leaving about 5:00 or so to go home cook dinner and see Johnny. I got a text from Tara's mom about 7:00 or so saying that she was getting close. I raced back to the hospital, we waited in the hallway. We just waited until we heard that sweet baby girl cry... it wasn't long at all and she was here. I was so excited.... finally little Miss Serenity had made her grand entrance into the world and she was beautiful as ever.

You could say that I was a proud Auntie to a beautiful baby girl!! Oh I love her so much!!

Moving on up

Since the housing market was such a sellers market and homes were going for top dollar, we decided to put our home on the market. Since we bought our home went up 40k in value. Which was good for us since it wasn't really the home that we were in love with. We had one cash offer fall through, but we had numerous other offers so we were not worried. We sold our first home on September 22, and on that same day we found a beautiful home that our family could grow into. Since the market was so competitive we were fortunate enough to get this home up against numerous other offers.

Just as any other house this one needs a little TLC, and our own special touches. We were excited to get started with painting all the rooms and making it our home. Yes we will be here for a long time considering we hate moving, and this house has 5 bedrooms. :) More on the renovations later....... We can only do a little at a time!

A look in 2014

2014 started out with the exciting news that my bestie was expecting a baby! I was over the moon to hear this news.

Nevaeh turned 9 in April and we celebrated with an under the sea painting party with all of her school friends and our family. We also left for our cruise on April 20, 2014 to celebrate my Mom's 50th birthday.

Now that vacation is over, we came back to celebrate a family friend (that I used to babysit) graduate high school. We also started demolition of our front and back yard.  We removed the bushes from the front yard, framed around the tree, and filled in the front bed with rock, and added sod where the bushes were.

In the back yard we moved all the rock that bordered where grass should of been, rototilled the entire area, and added new metal boarder, and filled in with sod. It was a lot of work but the outcome was beautiful.

Despite all the yard work, we were still able to celebrate with my best friend and all her family and friends what the sex of her baby was going to be. All along I thought that she would have a little girl, she thought it was a boy at the beginning of her pregnancy. Johnny, her mom and I hosted a "Gender Reveal Party" for the mom and dad to be.

IT"S A GIRL!!

Another excting activity was joining my great grandparents celebration of their 70th wedding anniversary.

Summer was upon us and we were nothing short of busy. Nevaeh enjoyed lots of swimming and trips to the Zoo with her aunt, one of our good friends was going to be a dad so we through him a "Dad to be" party since him and the mother were not together anymore, he also welcomed his baby girl at the end of June. July Johnny and I took our first trip to Cheyenne Frontier days to see Tim McGraw in concert.

In August Nevaeh started 4th grade, we went back to the Fertility clininc so I could do some more testing and exams, and were told even more bad news. I was told that I had a pollup in my ovaries that would limit the chances of getting IVF done, and that I would have to have surgery to get it removed. This was just another expense that we were not prepared for. We watched another one of our good friends Mike and Megan get married at Red Rocks.
